What Determines Repair Cost?

Every repair is different.

Pricing depends on several factors, including:

  • The size and complexity of the piece

  • The colors, materials, and techniques used in the original artwork

  • The amount of labor required

  • The artist best suited to complete the repair

Some repairs may appear simple but require advanced techniques that only a highly specialized artist can perform. Other repairs may be more straightforward and can be completed by a production artist using standard materials. Because of this, repair pricing can vary significantly from piece to piece.

While many repairs can be handled by our resident artists, some projects may require a specialist with unique skills or experience. In these situations, we may recommend or help connect you with a trusted artist outside of our studio who is better suited for the repair.

Important Repair Considerations

Glass becomes significantly more sensitive once it has been damaged. Even when a repair appears possible, there is always some risk involved during the repair process.

For this reason:

  • Repairs are never fully guaranteed.

  • Additional damage can occasionally occur during the repair process.

  • Some pieces may be deemed unsuitable for repair after review.

  • In certain cases, a repair may be technically possible but not financially practical.

Our artists will always do their best to preserve and restore your piece whenever possible, but we believe in being transparent about the risks involved.
