Bar staff application

We're looking for 21+ Bar Staff to join us in creating the unique cannabis experiences that make Sunset different.

This is a paid position at $20/hour working across our Flower Bar, Dab Bar, and Vape Bar during events, activations, and other Sunset experiences.

This isn't traditional bartending. Our Bar Staff aren't serving alcohol — they're helping guests explore cannabis products, learn something new, and have a great experience while they're here.

No FA Card is required. Applicants must be 21+.

Our Bar Staff are the people guests interact with at some of our most interactive experiences. Depending on the event, you may be working at our Flower Bar, Dab Bar, Vape Bar, or helping with multiple areas throughout the night.

What Does a Sunset Bar Staff Member Do?

Responsibilities include:

  • Welcoming and engaging with guests

  • Explaining products and answering questions

  • Preparing and serving appropriate tasting portions according to Sunset procedures

  • Helping guests have a safe and comfortable experience

  • Keeping your bar clean, organized, and stocked

  • Following all Sunset safety and operating procedures

  • Maintaining a professional and welcoming environment

  • Working alongside our event and gallery teams

  • Helping create an experience guests want to come back to

Who We're Looking For

We're looking for people who are friendly, reliable, curious, and comfortable talking to people.

You don't have to know everything about cannabis when you apply. We're much more interested in finding people who are willing to learn, follow procedures, and genuinely care about the guest experience.

A strong candidate is someone who:

  • Has an interest in cannabis and cannabis culture

  • Is comfortable talking with customers

  • Can confidently explain what they know — and isn't afraid to say when they don't know something

  • Takes cleanliness and safety seriously

  • Can stay calm and professional when things get busy

  • Is dependable and communicates well with the team

  • Is comfortable working around glass art, cannabis consumption, and event environments

  • Respects different levels of cannabis experience and consumption

  • Is willing to learn and follow Sunset's specific bar procedures

Cannabis industry or glass industry experience is a plus, but it isn't required.
